Meet Squad Dog Alfee – a large, gorgeous 17 month-old Chocolate Lab who weighs in at 100+ pounds. His story is a sad one that we believe will have a happy ending. Alfee and Zack’s dad loved and spoiled his boys. He took good care them: he took them to visit the Vet on a regular basis for exams and vaccinations; he even built a fence so they could play together in the backyard. Unfortunately, their dad died suddenly, leaving them without a home.

When their dad passed away, Alfee and Zack went to animal control until a relative could be located. Unfortunately, the nearest relative lives on the west coast, so she was unable to rescue the boys. She did not want to see these beautiful boys destroyed, so she worked with the Vet to find a rescue for them. ADS was contacted and thanks to all of us working together, we were able to save Alfee and Zack.

Despite all that they have been through, Alfee and Zack are wonderfully adjusted and are happy to be on their way to finding new homes. Although Alfee and Zack have been together for quite some time, we do think they can be adopted separately. If you are looking for an addition to your family, please consider adopting one or both of them.
