SquadDog Guinevere

This pretty, blond eight-year-old is Lady Guinevere. We gave her the name of a queen because a special girl deserves a special name. Guinevere -"Gwen" for short - was a stray picked up by animal control. She was a sad sight when we first met her... terribly neglected and very, very, very dirty. It seems as though she'd been on her own for quite a while. Despite her outward appearance, Gwen remained a true lady to everyone - always happy, friendly and tail continuously wagging. Now that we've given her the full spa treatment - grooming, trimming and lots of love - her outer beauty matches her inner beauty. She greets you with a precious little kiss, a cheerful smile and a soft nuzzle of her nose... a sort of "thank you for just being my friend". This girl deserves only the very best of everything from here on out.

A note from Gwen's foster mom:

Just when you think your last foster dog was the best dog ever ( or maybe the one before that...?), you get a dog like Gwen. She is house and crate-trained, doesn't bark and couldn't be any more loving or sweet. She gets along with other dogs and is happy to just lie by my feet, wherever I might be. We've never allowed dogs in our upstairs, but "Miss Gwen" is up there on her bed, beside our bed, every night. And she doesn't even snore!! I have to nudge her a few times in the morning, like a teenager, before she gets up, stretches and follows me downstairs. Everyone here just loves this calm, gentle dog. The family who gets Gwen will enjoy years of love and loyalty from this very special girl.
