SquadDogs Irish & Dumpling

Irish

Although he's had a few hiccups in the process, ultimately our boy Irish does have good luck. He was lucky enough to have a very kind owner who loved him and his four-legged siblings Dumpling and a chocolate Labby brother. When his owner became ill and had to move into a nursing home, he was lucky that both he and Dumpling were left with the vet that had known them all their lives. And he was definitely lucky when the vet called a fellow rescue person to help him and Dumpling stay out of the shelter. Finally, he is lucky to be a Squad Dog living in a foster home with Dumpling -- and the promise of ADS that he and Dumpling will not be separated.

Irish is one awesome 6-year old black Lab -- housetrained. playful, good with people and dogs. Although he's the older of the two, Irish does tend to be more dependent on Dumpling, and can get a little nervous when confronted with loud noises. That's when he needs the reassurance of a loving person who will make sure that Irish's luck never runs out. Irish and Dumpling are both wonderful, good-natured Labs who like to play together -- but are past the running wild stage. We have promised both Irish and Dumpling that we'll find them that perfect home where they can run and play together for the remainder of their lives.

Dumpling

We're convinced this huggable yellow Lab got his name because he is just "as cute as a ...well, you get the picture. And Dumpling was the baby in a 3-Labby family. Along with his handsome older brother Irish, Dumpling found himself at the vet's office for the past two months after his owner was forced to move into a nursing home. A local rescue person was committed to finding a good home for these two wonderful Labs, and contacted ADS. At first, we thought Dumpling was the older dog, as he seems more independent. But, soon we learned he is only 5 years old -- a year younger than Irish.

Both boys are housetrained and well-mannered, but still love to play with each other, like typical Labs will do. We've come to the conclusion that these two should be adopted as a duo. They've already lost an older chocolate Lab brother and their owner -- we can't bear to see them lose each other. So, if you're looking for a close-to-perfect, ready-made Lab family -- look no further. We've got the gorgeous, dynamic duo for you.
