Little Latte was picked up by animal control after being hit by a car! Her leg and tail were badly injured but unfortunately animal control would not release her until her stray hold period was up. They were hoping her owners would reclaim her and get her the medical attention she desperately needed. They knew there was very little hope that someone would adopt her with her injuries. As soon as we could take custody of her, we rushed to get her out of her horrible predicament and into the hands of a wonderful surgeon.

We are happy to report that after five hours of surgery to repair the damage done to her leg, she is doing very well. Her tail may not fair as well though, we’ll have to wait to see if it can heal properly. Through all of this trauma and drama, Latte has remained a friendly, out-going and cheerful gal. She just wants to play and to get back to being a normal, active puppy… and to find a loving home of her very own.
