SquadDog Luke B

Luke appears to be a bit aloof at first, but that's because he's a tad on the shy side. He has a wonderful disposition though. As a matter of fact, the shelter staff took a strong liking to him and kept him around a lot longer than the rules said. This little guy is around 2 years old and wants to be loved and to feel secure. He'll come out of his shell after a bit - but he's the type that assesses the situation first, before he commits. He's pretty cute and kind of a shorty. And check out those adorable freckles!

UPDATE from Luke's foster mom:

He is house-trained and crate trained but he doesn’t need a crate as he's well behaved in the house. He loves soft toys and rope toys. He is shy - but warms up to women and children quickly. It takes longer with men- he is curious and friendly but cautious. He's clearly has not had good experiences with men in his past so men just need to approach him thoughtfully. He likes other dogs, is playful, good natured, and very adaptive. Luke has a medium amount of energy and is a sweet, sweet boy. He's attracted to shoes, socks and other clothing. And he does chew a little, but you just need to give him lots of toys and it's not a problem. Luke is also very smart and learns quickly- like how to get into the pantry...
