Roxy is a beautiful girl with such a sad history. Every family she has ever lived with has disappointed her and she has found herself homeless each time. We sent Roxy to a special training and boarding facility to see if there was a reason she kept winding up without a home. We wanted to find any problems and to resolve them so that she could finally find a true forever family. Our trainer found her to be a very friendly, playful girl. Even after several weeks living with the trainer, Roxy proved herself to be nothing other than a well-behaved and loving Lab. She is such a good girl. She loves people and tries very hard to please. She's only about 3-years-old, is house-trained and she's good with other dogs. Her very best friend in the whole world is her buddy and daily playmate Squad Dog Mick. Roxy ROCKS! She's not truly black or chocolate, but more of an extremely rare Italian-Roast-Velvet-Lab. She has wonderful indoor manners, is completely house-trained and does not need to be crated. She loves to go "a-huntin'" whenever she goes walking, and enjoys the company of males - be they human or canine, young or old. Roxy is spunky and playful, but truly enjoys curling up in a soft spot with a good book and human to rub her back with a spare foot. In keeping with her Italian heritage she relishes her meals with a bit of Parmesan or Romano sprinkled on top, and knows that a great ripping belch is a sign of a great repast. She always gives her compliments to the cook. She is a sweet, funny girl, and she will sleep with you for food.
