He's a real sweetie and only about a year old. He has a great personality and he just loves other dogs too. He's a little shy around people at first and not too sure about going through doorways right now... but we're working on that. He is a very loving active guy who could fit right into your household and be a wonderful companion. You’ll feel like the luckiest Lab mom or dad in the world with sweet boy by your side.

UPDATE:
Smitty instantly adapted to the comforts of living indoors. He's exceptionally smart - very trainable actually - and his greatest desire is to make you happy. With some directed training this guy will be totally awesome. Smitty gets along famously with dogs, cats and people of all sizes . He fetches balls (and brings them back most of the time) but doesn't seem too interested in swimming at this point. At just over a year old, he’s still an active boy and needs a decent amount of exercise every day. With a daily run or a romp in the park or yard with his dog buddies, he'll rest contentedly at your feet for the remainder of the day. Smitty is also a menacing and adept predator of house flies and other flying insects so you can do away with those pesky fly strips when he's around. And on top of it all, he's not only smart and athletic, he's handsome too... He's dazzlingly black and shiny when he stands in the sunshine. What a boy!
