SquadDog Taffy

What are the chances that someone walking through an animal control facility after they had already adopted a puppy, would be so touched by a dog, that they would begin a personal crusade to rescue the dog? Well, Taffy is so sweet and calm that she caused someone to do just that. Taffy made such an impression on a good Samaritan who was adopting another dog, that she contacted ADS to save this adorable girl's life.

And, Taffy has lived up to her billing -- she is very affectionate and well-behaved for a retreiver mix around 1.5 to 2 years old. In fact, she didn't make a sound on the long ride back from the shelter to our vet's office. Taffy is healthy and appears to have been well-kept. We can't begin to understand how she was out running around as a stray, nearly missing being hit by cars on a busy street.

This sweetie-pie is on the small side -- perfect for nestling in your lap. Taffy is definitely a special dog who is lucky enough to get that second chance. All she needs now is a family who will make sure she's always safe and will love her forever.
