SquadDog Tigger

You'll fall in love with eleven-year-old Tigger as soon as you meet him. When we first met him he was sad and depressed - standing in a run at Animal Control - slowly wagging his tail, quietly hoping to be noticed. It was as though he knew his family wouldn't come looking for him and he was pretty sure he wasn't going to make it back out to the "free world". All he wanted was for you to touch him. And quite honestly, that wasn't an easy task.

It was obvious he'd been neglected for quite some time. His coat was covered with an oily filth. He was rather smelly. And he had lumps and sores all over. We moved him to a room by himself with a big comfy bed. He made a bee-line for it. He seemed tickled that he had a bed to sleep on. He produced a huge smile and gave a "thank you" groan as he nestled into it. By the next morning he was transformed onto a happy, silly boy. You'd think he'd just want to curl up in a corner and snooze the day away... not this guy! He loves to play fetch and will do it 'til you get tired. If, for some reason you are just a little too slow showing him attention, he'll roll over and offer you his belly. He is gentle and sweet, and so deserving of a loving home to retire in. This is one very special boy - full of life and over-flowing with affection.
