Buddy and Bear's owner gave them up because he was marrying a person who does not like dogs. Being surrendered at their ages has been traumatic and confusing. That's why we are determined to keep them together. They're great dogs - timid at first but when they warm up their tails don't stop wagging.

They're very happy and fun loving boys - two peas in a pod - sticking together no matter what. Bear, age 7, is a gorgeous Golden Retriever mix with a thick, soft-as-can-be coat. He minds very well and is extremely friendly. He loves attention from everyone just like a typical Golden. He adores toys and is especially fond of being scratched on his rear end -- what dog isn't? Buddy, age 5, is a very sweet Lab mix who has no idea he's not built to be a lap dog! He loves playing tug-o-war and running around the yard with his brother. He's very friendly and gentle, and loves people and kids just like Bear. They like to play with other dogs and are comfy just hanging out relaxing with you too. They're mellow and well adjusted, and just need someone to love them again.
