People who spend time with her describe Amelia as "the perfect dog". She's about 6 to 7 years old, calm, sweet and very well mannered. We don't know much about her past other than she wasn't well taken care of by her previous owner. She wound up in an animal control facility - pregnant, malnourished and extremely stressed. Unfortunately, she lost all of her puppies. They were stillborn in the shelter shortly after her arrival. We heard of her situation and rushed to help her.

Amelia is rebounding quickly. Now that's she's getting proper nutrition and is feeling good, her spirits are very high. One volunteer in particular reports that she's "an absolute lady... so well-behaved.... with a precious face... just perfect!". Amelia has really won over some very devoted admirers.
