Austen is our 100 pound puppy. Okay… so at 6 years old, he’s not exactly a puppy; but he is totally unaware of that fact so we’re supporting his position on this.

Austen is a very funny guy. When we first met him he was trying to play with another dog. He would scrunch down on his front feet and poke his butt high in the air. We should point out that he is way too bulky to make the whole play bow thing look normal, but he gave it his best joyful effort. He had us laughing so hard we were in tears as we watched his efforts. He seemed to enjoy us laughing at him, because he’d wiggle all over and get a really big grin on his face – as though he was laughing right along with us. We think he’d love to go swimming because it seems like if he could figure out exactly how to fit into his water bowl, he’d be in there in a flash.

This boy is great all around. He loves to play fetch and to wrestle. He’s housetrained, good on the leash, great with kids and other dogs too. And he loves to be loved! Austen is a wonderfully sweet, big boy and he’s very eager to find his forever home.
