Chopper is an easy dog. He's mild-mannered and he tries very hard to please you. He’s a bit of a snuggler. He loves affection and is happy to be wherever you are. His leash manners are awesome for an energetic one-year-old and he takes treats very gently too. He's just easy to have around!
Chopper does seem to have a pretty decent chase instinct when it comes to squirrels and bugs, so we're unsure of how well he will do with cats. Other than a rather unfortunate incident with a huge stuffed cow (he said the cow started it), Chopper is a very good boy. He’s a really fast learner. He just wants to be with people and he loves to play with other dogs. All this boy needs is some special TLC and patience to help him learn the ropes, and he’ll be the light of someone's life.
Comments from Chopper's foster mom:
Chopper is doing great! He's settled in and enjoys spending time with us. He's crated while we're gone and sleeps by our bed at night. He's been great with my 4-year-old daughter too and actually tolerates her using him for dress up. We're already attached to him. His energy level is youthful but not hyper; he loves to run! When we're out, he stays right by my side the whole time - never pulling on the leash. He's doing phenomenally well. He is a sweet, sweet boy and will make someone a wonderful companion.
