Clever is a very happy boy and he always seems to be smiling. He has a sweet temperament and he’s eager to please. He needs plenty of exercise daily and a family dedicated to teaching him all the things a good Lab should know. He’s always interested in new experiences and very eager to learn. He's a very smart and “clever” boy, and he’ll excel with regular obedience training.
Clever requires a tall privacy fence, as he is able to climb chain link. We feel he will do best in a home with another active dog and without small children. He is house and crate-trained, and right around 18-months-old.
Clever will bring renewed energy into his new home and lots of laughs over his antics. With a little time and devotion, he’ll be one awesome dog!
Update from Clever's foster mom:
We love Clever. He loves to go for walks and knows when the leashes come out it is time. If he sees the leashes sitting out he tries to encourage us to put one on him by trying to pull it off his kennel. He loves to play with our other dog.
He runs to his bowl when we call out “It’s hungry time". He easily goes in his kennel "home", as long as you are carrying a small treat. At night he lays at our feet until it’s time to go to bed.
