Dottie is also known as the "LoveBug". Her most important goal in life is to give gentle kisses and hugs. This one-year-old black Lab mix came into the shelter as a stray and when her time was up, we knew we had to help her. We say how precious she was but just as importantly, we couldn't peel her front legs from around our volunteer's waist.

She is very gentle and deliberate both while walking on a leash and deciding whether it's time for bed or another trip outside. She's putting the final touches on her housetraining so she often chooses another trip outside! She has been given full run of her foster home because she is past the point of the crazy puppy antics like chewing and digging. She plays gently with her ball - just pushes it around and watches it roll away before she goes to get it.

She gets along well with other dogs and cats but would much rather have her head scratched by a human or her nose snuggled up under your arm. If you want the personality of a Lab without the rowdiness, Dottie just may be the dog for you.
