SquadDog Lola Star

Four year old Lola likes to be noticed… and with her personality, she is definitely difficult to ignore. She simply adores people, loves to play ball and thinks kids are just awesome.

Lola was absolutely filthy when she came into the shelter. It was obvious that she had either been forced to live outside or that she’d been on her own for a while. In any event, it appears as though she had decided to head out on her own to find someone to love. Unfortunately for her, that turned out to be an Animal Control Officer. But she made friends immediately at the shelter - with dogs and people – and she soon became a shelter favorite.

One of our volunteers was at this local shelter trying to get pictures of several Retrievers that needed rescue assistance. None of the dogs were being particularly cooperative with the camera -- except for Lola. She kept popping her adorable little grin into almost every shot. “Yoo-hoo! Did you see ME? I’m right here!” “Hi! It’s ME again!” “Helllllo-oh! You almost missed me!” And to make her antics even funnier, she was just dirty enough so that when she licked her lips, she left a darker spot on each cheek that made her look like she had a rather nice moustache. She is such an adorable, lovable clown!

Lola’s a super sweet girl that makes everyone she meets the object of her affection. And in return, she gratefully accepts love from everyone. You just can’t go wrong with our Lola.
