Maxwell is eager to please - always wagging his tail and wanting nothing more than to be with you. This handsome 3 year old was treated very badly before coming to ADS and we promised him no one would ever hurt him again. How anyone could mistreat this sweet dog is just beyond our comprehension. You can still sometimes see fear in his eyes, but he tries to be brave and do whatever you ask. When you look into his eyes you clearly see his wonderful, gentle soul. He takes treats very gently - barely opening his mouth far enough to accept the treat from your hand. He is submissive to people, and will lie down and show you his tummy. He loves to get lots of hugs and kisses, and to be told that he is a good boy.
