Merlin is friendly and cuddly, not to mention pretty darn cute too. He’s an 8-month-old Lab and Flat Coated Retriever mix that loves dogs and people.

This good-natured little guy wound up in a rural animal shelter. Thank goodness ADS came along! The shelter was filling up and he was getting kind of worried since black shelter dogs don’t stand too much of a chance being adopted. But he’s a Squad Dog now and he’s all excited about finding a forever family of his very own.

Merlin is only around 45 pounds and still has some growing to do still. He’s very sweet and loves to play. He’s a fun guy, but a little on the shy side in new situations. It doesn’t take him long to feel at ease though and become your best bud!
