Sahara is 70 pounds of low-key loving and gorgeous velvet fur. She and her housemate were surrendered to a high-kill shelter. When her "brother" got adopted without her, Sahara was grief-stricken and left all alone with her time running out quickly. We knew we had to help this beautiful 18-month-old Lab/Golden mix.
Now that she is comfortable in her foster home with canine and feline siblings, she is absolutely thriving. Even though Sahara's a big girl, she is as gentle as they come. She's great with kids of any age as she doesn't jump or pull on her leash. It's can actually be difficult to walk her sometimes because she stays so close to you. She has been given full run of her foster home as she is past the stages of chewing or other destructive behavior. She loves to have her belly rubbed and will wait for you to sit on the floor so that she can crawl into your lap and offer up her belly. If you are looking for a very calm, gentle, beautiful girl who gets along with dogs, cats, kids and just everyone, Sahara could be the gal for you.
