Seger loves to be hugged; and he just melts when you talk to him sweetly.

When one of our volunteers stumbled upon this 3-year-old Lab mix in a local shelter, he sat very politely and smiled up at her. He had a look on his face that clearly said "Hi. I like you and would very, very much like to be your friend". Our volunteer couldn’t resist and hunkered down to be on his eye level. This precious boy leaned in for a hug and pretty much stole her heart right there on the spot. It was a done deal. He became a Squad Dog.

Seger was an unclaimed stray so we don't know a whole lot about him. We do know that he is one special boy. He loves to be around people - preferably with their arms wrapped around him - but he'll gladly take whatever affection is offered. His sweet smile and warm, gentle eyes win everyone over immediately. This boy deserves a home where love is doled out freely and a family that will appreciate the eternal love and undying devotion he promises. Forever.

Update from Seger's foster family:

Seger is great with cats and small dogs.(He lived with a Chihuahua). He is great. He is so sweet and gentle. He is LOVES playing with his ball and has a ton of energy but he can also just stretch out on the couch with you too. He would do really well in a home with kids, other animals or just by himself but he will need to have someone who has time to play ball or run with him. We just fell in love with Seger!!!
