Shadow is a big, wonderful, happy boy. He's 5 years old, calm, sweet and very family oriented. His favorite things in the whole world are his people. Shadow's previous owners became disinterested in having a dog and locked him all alone in their unfinished basement. He was miserable and depressed. And to compound his misery, his family planned to take him to the local shelter!

Some Good Samaritans knew how wonderful he was so they intervened and brought him to their home. Since he had to do without it in his original home, he yearns for - and deserves - human companionship. Nearly everyone was thrilled because Shadow is a very nice boy. The kids adored him and he adored the kids. He loved his new family and home. Unfortunately his new family's Shepherd didn't want to share his kids with another dog. The Shepherd became aggressive with Shadow so the dogs had to be kept separated at all times.

Shadow is really big on being part of things; he loves people and doesn't like to be excluded. Being isolated from the kids for even short periods just broke his heart. So Shadow's new family decided it was best for him to find a home where he can always be part of "family time". Shadow loves water, food, car rides and hanging with his "peeps".
