Winnie is a gorgeous Flat Coated Retriever/Border Collie mix with a very special wish list for her new family. Her wish list includes, but is not limited to: a wading pool, a ball and someone to throw it, a rope bone and someone to tug on the other end, a squeaky toy and a lot of love and attention.
Winnie came into the shelter as a stray at less than a year old. All the shelter staff waited for someone to come claim her because she was so well behaved. She walks on a leash without pulling and she knows “sit” and “come”. When Winnie’s time was up, we knew we had to help this angel find a home.
She thrives on your attention and loves to keep you company during gardening and housework. Car rides are a favorite pastime and she would do great at a ballgame with the kids. She loves to play fetch and is a huge fan of the water. If you can pull it off, fetch in the water is true Heaven in Winnie’s eyes. Although she loves to play, she’s great in the house and knows her manners with the foster canine and feline siblings. She is housebroken and crate trained. And she sleeps through the night right next to the bed. Be sure to meet Winnie, keeping in mind that she bonds quickly and will win your heart immediately! Winnie is 10 months old.
