SquadDog Barnaby

Barnaby is a quiet, shy 2 year old Lab/boxer mix who is very picky to whom he gives kisses. This mellow boy came into a rural shelter and just sat quietly in the corner of his run waiting for someone to come get him. He was patiently awaiting the return of his family and wasn't interested in anyone else.

As the weeks wore on and time was running out, Barnaby just laid his head down on his paws and gave up hope. On his last day, ADS came to the rescue to take Barnaby to a foster home where he had a new ready-made family full of dogs and cats and people. He decided that all this activity was cool and came alive in the back yard, running with all his foster siblings and playing catch and just enjoying life on the deck.

It took Barnaby about two weeks before he sat down next to his foster mom and laid a big wet kiss on her for saving his life. He still is very frugal with his kisses but it is because he is very busy making up for lost time spent laying in that run in the shelter.

Barnaby loves to redecorate the house when he has a free moment - his favorite interior decorating trick is moving area rugs from one room to the other and then collapsing on them when he has them where he wants them. This sweet boy is crate trained, housebroken and a very good sleeper next to the bed at night. He loves to wrestle on the floor and would do great with another dog to wrestle with or just a couple of rough-housing children. If you are looking for a easy-going, companion dog, be sure to meet Barnaby.
