If BuddyBoy could talk, he'd have a very sad story to tell. After his elderly owner died, he had no one to take him in, except for some grandchildren who really didn't want a dog. Buddy lived in their backyard in the dead of winter without any shelter or warm blankets. The children fed him every other day or so and didn't make sure he had water or necessary medical care. Luckily, a neighbor saw what was happening and immediately contacted an ADS volunteer.
Although BuddyBoy is only a small part Lab (the other parts being Spitz and Sharpei), ADS wanted to help this poor little guy. His owners surrendered him readily and BuddyBoy became a Squad Dog. Immediately his little tail went up and it hasn't stopped wagging since! Now that he’s healthy and warm, he’s one happy, happy dog.
BuddyBoy is 3-years-old, house-trained, crate-trained, and great with other dogs. He finds cats very interesting. He loves children and will sit in their lap and give lovin' as long as he’s allowed. If you’re looking for a smaller easy-going dog that loves everyone, be sure to meet BuddyBoy.
