SquadDog CassieSue

Cassie’s family didn’t want to care for a dog any longer so they surrendered her to a local shelter. What a horrible thing to do to a girl who wants nothing more than to be your best friend!

Cassie is 5-years-old and still has a lot of fun energy. She absolutely loves to play ball – you can see the pure joy on her face when you’re playing fetch with her. She’s good with kids and other dogs, if they don’t try to bully her. She’s good on a leash too and she loves to go for walks and to just sniff, sniff, sniff around the yard.

This sweet girl is looking for a family that will stick with her, no matter what. She needs the dedication and love of a forever family. She promises she’ll return that love many times over.

Update from Cassie Sue's foster mom:

Cassie Sue is a sweet, affectionate girl who has the energy of a two year old and the curiosity of a cat. She loves her walks and my guess is that she would be a great jogging partner.

Cassie Sue follows me around the house as I do my daily chores: she looks into the dryer when I open it, checks out the vacuum, and like all Labs, is very interested in food preparation! She's not on the move all of the time, though, loves lying on her bed or snoozing by my feet as I work on the computer.

She gets along well with my two dogs but it's obvious that she considers herself a person, not a dog, and she doesn't join in their play. She would probably make a great only dog since her focus is on her people.

Cassie is housetrained and although she doesn't sit outside and bark, she will warn you when someone is coming onto your property. She loves a car ride and now that the weather is cool, she joins me as I scoot around town. She's just happy to have someone paying her attention, making her part of a family. Hopefully, she'll find her forever home soon!
