SquadDog Ciara

My name is Ciara but I also go by Lady C. I am a bit of a princess. I love to go to the groomer's and have bows put in my beautiful, silky hair! I have to admit that I am carrying a bit of extra weight, but I recently lost 4 pounds. That might not sound like a lot, but it is a big deal for me! I enjoy long walks and really like the cold weather even though my foster parents don't like it so much. I really enjoy taking it easy and watching movies on the sofa, but I am content chilling out on the floor. I am very well mannered and am completely house trained.

Since being attacked by another dog while walking with my previous family, I am very leery of the other dogs we meet while out walking. But, I have been OK with other dogs living with me in my immediate home. I really love cats, and right now I have four cat siblings. In fact one of the cats, Doodlebug, waits for me at the front door when I go on my walks. Doodlebug and I also like to follow my foster mom into the kitchen, where we always wait patiently for food or a treat.

The vet thinks I am a retriever mix and am approximately 5 years old – past the puppy stage and into the calmer adult stage of life.

Additional comments from Ciara’s foster family:

Ciara is a pure joy to have at the house. She is full of love and everyone that meets her falls in love with her gentle nature. We think Ciara will do best in a family where she is the only dog. She is great with cats and and children. We refer to her as a gentle giant. More than anything, Ciara wants to feel safe, be loved, and have stability in her life.

Please stop by and meet Ciara at the next adoption event! She will be a wonderful addition to any family.
