SquadDog Dagger

This magnificent Black Lab is Dagger. He has had a sad life in his 6 short years of age. You see, Dagger was bred to be a hunting dog. The problem is, Dagger is gun shy. So, Dag moved from home to home, each home thinking they could cure his gun shyness and make him a great hunting companion. When the most recent home quit trying, Dag was dumped at the shelter in the overnight drop.

Lucky Dag, a shelter volunteer met him and thought Dag was a great dog that deserved a chance. The shelter volunteer soon discovered that Dag is highly intelligent, well-trained (sit, come, shake, good on a leash), house broken, and he loves to swim and fetch. He loads up in a car easily and rides very nicely. In addition, Dag is calm and obedient. He’s crate trained and good indoors. He’s great with children and other dogs.

Dag, being the smart boy that he is, knows how to climb fences and open gate latches. So, he needs to be in a home and with a family that can keep him contained.

Dagger remains loyal and loving despite being moved around so many times. If you’re looking for an all-around outstanding dog to love and be your constant companion, Dag is your guy. He’ll return your love ten-fold.
