SquadDog Maestro

Maestro is a handsome 5-year-old black Lab who lost his home as a casualty of the economy. When he first came into the shelter, he was terrified to be on his own and without the family he'd been with his whole life. As soon as he learned he was going to be a Squad Dog, his tail went up, he went looking for his ball and life turned around for this sweetheart.

Maestro is housetrained and has been given full run of his foster home because he's so well-behaved. He loves to sit with you on the sofa and watch TV, or just snooze by your feet. He's definitely an indoor dog but loves a good romp around the yard with his foster family.

This wonderful boy has let us know in no uncertain terms that his requirements for his forever home are a tennis ball and a wading pool. Typical of any Lab, he loves to play fetch and then cool off with a splash and a dunk in his baby pool. He’s a good mix of outdoor fun and indoor calm. And he's great with kids and cats too. What more could you ask for? Be sure to meet Maestro, he's the one with his tail up and a big smile on his face!
