SquadDog Skiff

Skiff is a very loving pup despite a very rough first year of life. Her previous family dumped her, along with her three littermates, on a rural boat dock in the dead of winter. These gorgeous Retriever mixes kept each other warm and shared their scraps until help came in the form of animal control. It’s a sad life when you think life in the shelter is good! But these four survivors were thrilled to be warm and fed on a daily basis.

At only one-year-old, Skiff is crate trained, good with dogs and cats, and she sleeps through the night. With the help of her foster mom, she’s learning how to play ball, sit for treats and perfect her housetraining. Although all these new things are nice, Skiff thinks the best part of her new world is sitting in your lap or lying in bed with you. She’s petite and she believes that gives her the right to be in your space at all times. She loves her brothers and sisters but would do well as an only dog as long as she gets lots of loving and attention. Skiff loves to cuddle with her foster felines and doesn’t understand that a dog isn’t supposed to like cats. She also loves her toys and would do best in a home with plenty of toys to chew and chase and keep her busy. If you’re looking for a true companion and friend, be sure to meet Skiff.
