This gentle giant walks softly -- but carries a big, deep bark if he wants your attention. And, he LOVES attention. Spencer is a very easy-going 7 year-old chocolate Lab who loves to go for walks, chew a bone and curl up at your feet. He has good indoor manners and his foster mom trusts him outside the crate now -- even with her cat. It's obvious that although he ended up in a local shelter as a stray, at one time he was loved and given good care. In fact, he was neutered before coming to the shelter and it appeared he hadn't missed many meals, if you know what we mean. Riding in the car is not his favorite thing, and he can be a little vocal about it, but he is working on this with his foster mom.

Spencer deserves a home where his family will give him the love and comfort he so craves. He's housebroken, in great shape, still has a good energy level and could keep up with a jogger if he needed to. But, he's also at the age where he's slowing down a bit and would love to just hang out and receive some well-deserved TLC. His sweet soulful eyes tell his whole story. We think he would love a family with children, but attention from anyone who will love him is all that's needed. All in all, this big lug is a love bug just looking for a permanent home where he can soak up all the love and attention he can. If you're looking for a Teddy Bear Lab, come out to meet our Spencer.
