Sugar is a handsome boy. He’s mostly black and fuzzy, but he’s got white feet, a white chest, and a blaze of white on his forehead. He’s a big, healthy puppy that loves to run and play. But he’s pretty mellow and cuddly, too.

Update from Sugar's foster home:

Sugar is very complex and purposeful, and although he is very sweet and cuddly, his name doesn't quite cover it, so we've been calling him Sugar & Spike (or just Spike) as he's a real tough guy! (Also, he's really pretty and everyone thinks he's a girl already so the name needed to be clearer!) He's usually the instigator of sibling rivalry, and is very intelligent. He got the idea very quickly that sitting patiently and looking cute - whether for food or for having his leash put on - always gets him an enthusiastic Good Boy! And he's very, very good at it! He's also discovered that if he jumps down into a planter on our deck, which he can't quite get out of, and then yips for help, he gets pulled out and some attention to boot! He's had more success getting close to our cat, with the stealth approach.
