Susi is such a sweet girl, although a little on the plump side. When she got lost, she wound up in a rural shelter and her owners never came looking for her there. It seems odd because it appears that she was well cared for and she certainly knows and enjoys affection.

Susi’s around 6-years-old, friendly and full of love. She’ll easily blend into any loving home – and she promises to adore her new family forever.

Update from Susi's foster mom:

Susi has the most amazing disposition - always happy. I have never seen another dog this happy. She loves all people, big and small, as well as dogs, cats, squirrels. She is definitely a love sponge. She's a pretty girl and on the small size stature-wise - but very solid.

Her manners are good and we are working on basic commands. She does jump up a bit when you get home or when she wants attention. It's easy to forgive though because she’s so absolutely good-natured and sweet. Susi is a great walking companion, she's eager to visit with all the neighbor children.

Susi talks too - not whining or whimpering but almost melodic conversation. I don't understand a word. Well that's not quite true. When she talks, she generally wants me to do something, like pet her. She does a pretty good job of destuffing the dog toys, but otherwise she's not destructive in any other way.
