Tug and his three littermates are quiet and rather shy when you first get to know them. You would be too if the people you trusted most in the world dumped you, in the dead of winter, at a boat dock on a lake. These four survivors kept each other warm and safe for two weeks before animal control picked them up and delivered them to the safe confines of a rural shelter.
Tug thought he had a good life in the shelter, being warm and getting food delivered to his cage every day, until he was rescued by ADS and told that his four siblings would soon each find a new home. Now Tug is coming out of his shell as he learns to play ball, sit for treats and perfect his housebreaking.
This little boy is less than 50 pounds and he thinks that makes him a lap dog. At only a year old, he has perfected the sneaky act of crawling up one leg at a time into your lap no matter where you are sitting. He absolutely loves everyone, including his foster canine and feline siblings. He is great with children and loves to give kisses to everyone he meets. He constantly watches you to see what he can do to make you happy and he’s always glad to see you after a long day apart. If you are looking for a true example of unconditional love, be sure to check out Tug.
