Six-month-old Lab and Shar Pei mix pups Mugsy, Bethany, Wesley and Dandy were abandoned along with their mom when their owners moved from their rented home. They were all in pretty rough shape when we were asked to help them. We’ve gotten them all taken care of vetting-wise – all healthy and clean and feeling good - and now they’re learning that people can be the source of lots of love and affection. They hadn’t had much human interaction prior to becoming Squad Dogs, but they are learning about being part of a family now… and they are loving it! These siblings are shy and affectionate. They’ll make wonderful additions to some very lucky families.

Wesley

Wesley is pretty shy but he does love affection. You’ll find him following the other dogs around looking for a good wrestling match or poking his nose out from under the coffee table when he thinks you are giving out belly rubs. He’ll hide under the table sometimes as he is still a bit uncertain of his new two legged friends but he’ll follow on your heels if you walk away, so it’s clear he really wants to be your friend. He just needs some time to feel safe and to be more trusting. He really loves his dinnertime and playing with his doggy friends.

Once Wesley knows he can trust you, he’ll let you pick him up and he’ll snuggle with you as long as you’ll let him. He’s house-trained, no accidents during the night even. He is very sweet and loveable, just needs some time to understand that all is ok and he doesn’t need to be afraid. Wesley is destined to be looking to be someone’s very special love-bug.
