SquadDog Frannie

For Frannie, the second time is a charm -- being rescued a second time, that is. When the email about this sweet young flat coat retriever mix went out, it explained that Frannie had been adopted from a rescue, but that the rescue could not take her back. So her family surrendered her to a local shelter. This really tugged at our heartstrings, because we could not imagine one of our Squad Dogs ever being sent back to a county shelter. With a face and attitude like Frannie's, the decision to make her a Squad Dog was an easy one.

Volunteers at both the shelter and our vet's office simply rave about how sweet and likeable this little girl is. She decided to make the most of it at the shelter, and was quite content to play with a stuffed duck that the volunteers put in her kennel. Although the owners quessed her age at around 4 years, our vets and volunteers think she is much younger -- perhaps only between one and two years old. Maybe it's just her spunky personality. Her foster mom thinks pretty highly of Miss Frannie also. Here's what she has to say:

Frannie would be a perfect fit with a family. She loves kids, and is great with other dogs and cats. She does not chew on anything, goes in her crate with no problems, listens and responds very well, and with the exception of some excited peeing, she is the absolute most perfect dog anyone could ask for!!! She is very sweet and just wants to be in your lap or by your side at all times - she is a total love bug.

Frannie is looking for her forever family -- one that will love her and make sure that she never needs to leave her home again.
