SquadDog Ava

Sometimes bad luck turns into good luck. Sweet young Ava can attest to that. You see, this diminutive 10-month old black Lab mix was recently found by a good Samaritan outside an apartment building. The poor thing was being hit by some boys with a basketball. Luckily for Ava, the good Samaritan whisked her away from the hurtful situation and took her to school, where one of ADS's former adopters stepped up to help. Long story short, Ava's original owner was found but did not want her. But that's where her luck began to change. Now Ava is a Squad Dog and we are going to make sure she finds a family who will love her and keep her from harm for the rest of her life.

Miss Ava is a spunky little girl that gets along well with other dogs. In fact, she's rather submissive. And, she is great with small children. Ava is housebroken and knows how to sleep in a crate. Because she's still a pup, she does have some energy and could use some training, but what retriever puppy couldn't? Ava is such a good girl that everyone who helped her make her way to ADS was determined that she wouldn't end up in the shelter. She's one happy-go-lucky pup, even after all she's been through. All she needs now is a new family to love her, take care of her and make sure her good luck never runs out.
