Handsome. Debonair. A dog with that certain something you can't put your finger on -- that's Boston. This gorgeous yellow Lab came to us from a small shelter in the southern part of the state and his good looks are causing quite a stir with everyone he meets.

What's brilliant is that his mellow, laid-back temperament combine with his handsome face to make him almost irrestible. When it was his turn to receive vaccinations, he simply laid down, stretched out his back legs and gave the technician a kiss. Yes -- he is definitely a charmer. It's difficult to imagine how no one came to reclaim this awesome boy from the shelter.

Boston rides well in the car and seems to take everything in stride. His transport mate was a 4 month old puppy who is a ball of energy. But our man Boston didn't let the exuberant puppy aggravate him in the least. He kept his good humor and simply ignored the youngster. Boston seems to be happy around people and other dogs. We're not sure about cats, but it wouldn't surprise us if he likes the felines also.

Boston is a nice size Lab, but not huge. And at 3 years old, he is a wonderful age to join a family -- past the puppy antics but with many years left to spend as a companion.
