SquadDog Durango

Will sit for food. That's Durango's motto. In fact, he will sit for just about anything. Someone trained this young Lab mix that when you are facing a human being, you should sit -- or at least do a super squat to look like you're sitting so you'll still get a treat.

At about a year old, Durango is definitely still a puppy with a good bit of energy left for playing and sitting, of course. But he's not over the top -- just a vibrant young guy that is normal for his age. Somehow Durango found himself in a shelter in south Georgia, and no one came looking for him. We're kind of surprised, because someone went to a lot of trouble to train this lad to sit.

Durango is good with other dogs and likes to play. We're not 100% positive on housetraining, but we're thinking that if he learned "sit" so well, that he will either be housetrained or could pick it up very easily. Durango would have a ball with a family that likes to be active, as he is a playful, good-natured guy. He's on the smaller side, probably around 55 pounds, so he would be a great size for a family with children. If you want a dog with a nice temperament, check out Durango. And bring a treat. He will sit for you.
