SquadDog Gretchen

When life gives you lemons -- make lemonade!! We're convinced that is Gretchen's motto because she meets every day and every person with a smile and a wagging tail. And trust us, recently she has had her fair share of lemons.

You see, Gretchen's former owner had to be hospitalized indefinitely and unfortunately, he left her at home to basically fend for herself. She had a doggie door to come and go, but no one designated to feed and water her. Luckily some kind-hearted neighbors took Gretchen's fate into their hands and arranged for her to become a Squad Dog. It's a sad story -- but Gretchen doesn't seem bothered the least little bit by her former life.

This beautiful 6-year old black Lab has never met a stranger. She's totally housetrained and gets along well with the dogs in her foster home. Gretchen is practically perfect. She loves to chase the ball and go on hikes, but also is an angel in the house. If you're looking for an easy-going Lab that still likes to play, be sure to check out Gretchen. She'll greet you with a wag and a smile.
