Some dogs are just naturally affectionate. Macy is one of those dogs. When our volunteers met Macy in the shelter, it was difficult to understand how she could have been overlooked. Of course, she is a black Lab mix and the shelters are filled with dogs fitting her physical description. But, this little dog has a super personality and a heart to match. We think she's around 3-4 years old, and it appears that someone cared for her in her former life. She makes herself right at home wherever she goes.

Macy is a social butterfly and get's along well with everyone. In fact, sometimes she gets so busy playing that she forgets to let her foster parents know that she needs to go outside. But, she's very smart and has worked through that. She's living in a foster home with other dogs, and her foster mom can't say enough good things about Macy. Here's a sample:

Macy is a sweetheart! She is definitely past the puppy phase and is getting along with the rest of the pack just fine. She is funny - she chases reflections and shadows!!! She has had a few accidents in the house, but it's only when she gets real excited and "forgets". Other than that, she has been a dream. She loves to give "kisses" and if you're not careful, she will be more than happy to give you a bath with her tongue!
