SquadDog Precious

Well, the name says it all, doesn't it? What could be more precious than a 5 month-old yellow Lab puppy? We couldn't believe that this sweet young thing found herself in an area shelter where her days were numbered. Our best guess is that she was a holiday puppy that someone unfortunately couldn't live without -- but then decided that taking care of a Lab puppy was too much trouble.

Precious is so cute and sweet that the volunteer who transported her to the Atlanta area couldn't part with her and decided to foster her. This little girl has captured the hearts of her foster family. Read how the foster mom sings her praises, below:

Update from Precious' foster mom:

I volunteered to pick Precious up from a vet outside of Atlanta and deliver her to a local vet for boarding. I had no intention of bringing her home that day, but as I saw her bounce out of her kennel and run toward me, tail wagging, ears flapping and a puppy grin on her face, I knew she was meant to be mine, at least until she found her forever home. We usually foster older dogs but Precious has reminded us of how much fun it can be to have a puppy in the house. Yes, more work, but a lot more laughs and adventure!

This little girl has everything a family is looking for in a Lab: an engaging personality, good looks, "smarts", sweet temperament, family loyalty. She follows us everywhere and sleeps in our bedroom at night and is quite eager to please. She loves everyone and seems to be quite trainable. For a puppy, she walks well on a leash, loves our two dogs and is close to being house and crate-trained. She rides well in the car and when not "wrastling" with my dog Ginger, is quite relaxed at home. And she loves to watch animal shows on TV!

This sweet girl will make a wonderful addition to some lucky family and it will be hard for us to let her go. She has brought a lot of fun and excitement to our home.
