SquadDog Zorro

There's a special place in our hearts for senior dogs surrendered by their owners. At eleven years old, Zorro found himself left at a local animal control facility. You see, his owner decided to move to Hawaii and left Zorro in the care of a "friend." Good for the owner, but bad for Zorro. The supposed "friend" decided that Zorro was too much responsibility and promptly surrendered him to the shelter.

Well, unlike a lot of abandoned seniors that are truly devastated, Zorro has a remarkable ability to roll with the punches. And when you first meet him, you can't believe he's 11 years old. There's still a lot of pep in his step. Of course, the grey on his muzzle gives him away. If only there was Grecian formula for dogs! Zorro would have everyone fooled.

According to Zorro's foster mom, he is one great dog. Here's what she has to say about our guy:

Zorro is great dog. He is well behaved and has good manners. We are working on not snapping when he gets treats. He loves people and other dogs once he gets to know the other dogs. Zorro loves to eat and especially loves his treats. When I first got him I bought dog ice cream and he didn't know what to do with it. He would just sniff, lick it and it took him days to eat one ice cream. Now he gets it, runs off to his bed and eats it immediately, then carries around the container with him.

He loves balls and likes to play keep away with our daughter's dog. Zorro is good at catching the ball but not too good at giving it back!!!!!!!! He loves to ride in the car and wants to go everywhere I go. He loves to go for walks and for an older dog he still has a lot of energy. Zorro is a very easy going, sweet dog.
