SquadDog Torro

Our boy Toro was surrendered with no explanation to a local shelter. A pretty typical story for a not-so-typical yellow Lab. You see, Toro has had quite the wild ride since being surrendered by his former family and that's a lot for any young dog to handle. Through it all he's worked to keep a positive outlook because he is a good boy with a good heart.

Toro is doing really well with his human foster family and four-legged foster brother. In fact, according to his foster mom, he dictated a email and asked her to send it to ADS:

Hi everybody,

My name is Toro. I need a forever home. I had a rough start in life. Through no fault of my own I found myself in a very scary place- the shelter. I can tell you it's no place for a good boy like me!!

My foster Mom says I am well behaved in the house. I am crate trained and house trained. I love soft blankets and quilts. I enjoy walks with my family and chasing squirrels. I also like to play with my foster brothers, we play chase, tug and we like to wrestle. I am a good snuggler too. I am young and enthusiastic. So little kids might accidentally get knocked over. But I do like kids.

I ended up living in several foster homes- I was displaced due to human misfortune, sickness, accidents etc. I never moved because of anything I did. All my foster friends will tell you that! But as a result of all the upheaval in my life I have become a little anxious. You see I'm not always sure who to trust. I love my foster mom, dad and brothers. But I am unsure around new people. Sometimes I get so scared I bark and bark. My foster Mom and I are working on relaxing and going to training class. I am working very hard.

If I could have any wish come true it would be to have a forever family. I need a stable home with lots of love for a guy like me. I need a routine and guidance . In return I will give you love, fun and a lifetime of companionship. If you would consider adding a handsome young fellow to your household, please consider me. I like other dogs, especially calm reasonable dogs like my foster brothers. I would also be fine as an only dog.

Please give me a chance as a member of your family.

Torro
